Heineken Jammin’ Festival

The headliners for the 2011 Heineken Jammin’ Festival have finally been announced: 9th June COLDPLAY, 10th June NEGRAMARO and on 11th June VASCO.

The Heineken Jammin' Festival, the most important music festival of its kind in Italy, comes back from 9 to 11 June, 2011. Since its very first edition in 1998, the Heineken Jammin' Festival has been conceived as a big rock gathering held over several days, with lots of artists following each other on stage for the entire afternoon as well as acclaimed headliners for the long evening concert.

Over the years, prestigious names of both the national and international music scene have taken part, such as Metallica, Bon Jovi, Iron Maiden, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Santana, Chemical Brothers, Marylin Manson, Skunk Anansie, Robbie Williams, Blur, Pearl Jam, Aerosmith, Cranberries, Ben Harper, Green Day, Vasco Rossi, Carmen Consoli, Piero Pelù and Zucchero.

Since 2007 the festival takes place in the striking location of Parco San Giuliano, a large green space overlooking the Venice Lagoon.

Heineken Jammin’ Festival is not only music but unsecured loans also 360 degrees entertainment. Soccer fields, volleyball courts, basket ball courts, ice rings, areas dedicated to fine food and entertainment, a cinema and many world music stands, will be set up throughout Parco San Giuliano. The Extra Cold Truck is the brand new Heineken bar where visitors can experience the new Heineken draught extra cold.

Concerts on the Central Stage will start around 3.00pm with the winning band of HJF Music Contest and finish around midnight

Coldplay will headline the Heineken Jammin' Festival 2011, on 9 June. The English rock band will present hits from their latest release Viva la Vida, their fourth studio album achieving a great success around the world. In its first week of release it debuted at number one in 36 countries. In the United Kingdom, the album sold 125,000 copies in bad credit loans its first day of release and 302,074 in three days, debuting at number one.

On 10 June, the British alternative rock band Elbow will perform on the central stage. Although they have not achieved widespread popularity in Italy yet, their most recent album Build a Rocket Boys!, released in March 2011, has been a great success in the UK receiving great reviews by such authoritative colleagues as R.E.M., U2 and Blur. Elbow's performance at Heineken Jammin' Festival is their only Italian date this year.


The New Yorkers Interpol will open the show on 10 June. In the late evening the headliner Italian band Negramaro will bring the festival's second day to an end.

The Heineken Jammin' Festival will have Vasco Rossi headlining the final day. The performance of the Italian rockstar, on 11 June, will be preceded by Echo & The Bunnymen, We are Scientists, Beady Eye and Cesare Cremonini, Alla Time Low, and Pretty Reckless.

Holders of two- o three-day tickets are entitled to camp inside the Park.
